You’ve probably heard the term “carcinogen” before, maybe in high school biology, in news reports, or perhaps you’ve heard your physician use it. But, do you know what a carcinogen is? Carcinogens can change a cell’s DNA, and those changes can cause cancer. Some of these changes can be inherited and others may be caused by “environmental exposures” to carcinogens through food, household cleaning products or cosmetics.
