For nearly a decade, Margot served as senior vice president of marketing communications for the J.Crew Group, where she helped to rebrand the company to become the leading specialty retailer it is today (she still consults as a special advisor to the CEO). Margot cut her teeth at Marie Claire and Marshall Field’s Department Stores, and also ran marketing and creative services for Lucky magazine for many years. She actively participates in charitable organizations like Baby Buggy, the Nantucket Land Trust, and Teach for America.
Though she’s worked on governmental policy and in private foundation management, Candice inevitably finds her way back to facilitating social impact and conscious capitalism. She helped launch, grow, and run TOMS’ groundbreaking One for One brand and sits on the board of directors for TOMS, Beautycounter, and a select few non-profit and for-profit organizations. She is a member of UNICEF’s Next Generation Steering Committee and was a long-term member of the Clinton Global Initiative.
