What is Klarna?
Klarna is a payment application that allows the purchaser the flexibility to choose a payment option that best suits their needs with interest-free installments. Klarna is available for purchases made in U.S. dollars.
How do I sign up?
If your basket is eligible for four interest-free payments with Klarna (for orders over $35 and below $1,000 USD, including taxes and shipping), the option will be presented at checkout. After confirming your phone number, you’ll be sent an SMS message to confirm your identity. You’ll then set up your payment method with Klarna and accept the terms of your payment plan.
Your purchase will be split into four equal payments. The first is due upon purchase. The remaining three payments will be automatically charged to your debit or credit card every two weeks.
Who is eligible to use Klarna as a payment method?
Guests, Clients, Members, Enrolling Consultants, and Consultants (personal orders only).
Where can I use Klarna?
You can use Klarna on, Quick Order for Consultant personal orders only, and My Counter App. Klarna is not available in stores.
Are there requirements to use Klarna?
Yes. You’ll need:
  • A U.S.-issued debit or credit card
  • To be 18+ years old
  • A U.S. billing address
  • An SMS-capable phone number
  • To meet the minimum cart size ($35 USD) required to use Klarna as a payment option at checkout
Which payment methods are accepted?
Klarna currently accepts all major debit and credit cards (i.e., Mastercard, Visa, AMEX, and Discover). Please note, prepaid cards are not accepted.
Can I use Product Credit and Klarna together as payment methods in a single transaction?
Yes, you can use both Product Credit and Klarna together as payment methods in the same transaction. However, your subtotal after using Product Credit has to be equal to or more than $35 USD (before taxes and shipping).
If I’m a Band of Beauty Member, will I still earn Product Credit when using Klarna as a payment method?
Yes, you will still earn Product Credit if you use Klarna as a payment method.
Will Klarna be available on My Counter App and/or Quick Order?
Klarna is available on and My Counter App for Guests, Clients, Members, Enrolling Consultants, and Consultants (personal orders only). Klarna is also available on Quick Order for Consultant personal orders only. It will not be available for Consultants to order on behalf of their customers.

What if I receive my products, but haven’t completed all my payments?
Your remaining payments will be automatically charged every two weeks. Your payment schedule is sent to you via email. You will receive a reminder by email, text, or push notification two days before payment is due. If you want to pay your entire order off early, simply log in to your account on or through the Klarna app, click the “Purchase” tab, choose the purchase you want to pay off, and then click “Pay off early.”
What if I can’t make a payment?
Please reach out to Klarna’s customer service team as applicable, and they’ll be happy to assist you with a solution. You can contact them at or in the Klarna app.
My purchase through Klarna was declined. Why?

Are there late fees?
If Klarna is unable to collect a biweekly payment on the scheduled day, they will try again. If the payment is unsuccessful on their second attempt, a late fee of up to $7 USD and the missed payment will be added to the next scheduled payment. To keep you in the loop, they will send you an email notification if your payment was unsuccessful.
Is there a cost for using Klarna as a payment method?
No, there aren’t any added costs when using Klarna as a payment method. The issuer of your payment card may charge interest or fees under your agreement with them. If you have any questions about those charges, contact your payment card provider.
What if I make a return?

How do returns work if I paid using Klarna?
Purchases made using Klarna are subject to Beautycounter’s standard return policy. Any returns will be processed by Beautycounter and your Klarna balance will be reduced or cancelled accordingly. If you have already made payments, those will be refunded to you by Klarna. For information on returns, review Beautycounter’s return policy.
Will orders be held for shipment until all pay installments are completed?
No. Orders will not be held for shipment and will follow our standard shipping and handling timelines.
